New Year, New You: Sticking to Your Resolution in 2023

With the new year comes new opportunities to grow and make positive changes in your life. This is especially so when it comes to stopping the use of drugs and/or alcohol.

Setting a resolution is easy. It’s sticking to it that’s the hard part. Below are some tips for getting real results in the new year:

Set Goals

It can be very tricky to accomplish things without goals in place. Not only do goals give you a clearer idea of where you are going but they also help you to track how close you are to getting there.

If your goal is to stop the use of a substance, consider what that should look like and how you can get there. If you are looking to get sober in the New Year, think about how you can slow the consumption of substances like drugs and alcohol. If you find it difficult to stop the use of drugs and/or alcohol on your own, reach out to Front Door Health. We’re here to help!

Stay Consistent

Consistency is key to success. It’s not just about setting a goal and hoping you get there. You need to take consistent action. This may mean going to the gym on a consistent schedule, turning off your phone at the same time every night, or sticking to your appointments with mental health professionals. The more consistent you are, the greater the chances of positive habits forming.

Staying consistent is that much easier with in-home care. By having mental health and treatment specialists visit your home it’s easier than ever to stay consistent! Front Door Health offers comprehensive in-home treatment to keep you consistent and accountable, while also making it easier than ever to get the help you need and deserve.
