4 Meditation Apps to Enhance Your Calm

Sometimes you just need to relax and take a deep breath. This may seem a little easier said than done, though.

If you aren’t used to controlling your breathing, finding mindfulness, and getting into a meditative state, you may not be sure what to do. Even if you know how to meditate, you may be out of practice and simply need a little help getting started. That’s where meditation apps come into play…

Meditation apps can help to get you into a meditative state, which can improve your mood, lower your levels of stress, bring you to the present moment, and de-escalate when in a distressed state.

There are a lot of meditation apps on the market, which may leave you wondering which one is the best for you. Below are 5 meditation apps that will help you to enter a meditative state, which can improve your mental health and wellbeing.

5 Meditation Apps to Enhance Your Calm

While there are a lot of apps on the market to choose from, here are some of our favorites:

1.    Calm

Calm is one of the most popular meditation apps on the market, and there is a good reason for this. The app provides a variety of different types of meditation, which include both guided and solo meditation options. There are a variety of different focuses you can choose from, such as reducing stress, falling asleep, and more.

2.    Chill Anywhere

Chill Anywhere is an app and mindfulness program with a focus on “supporting mental wellbeing in the workplace.” While their resources are targeted at businesses, they provide an excellent, personalized app that offers meditation guides, stretching and yoga lessons, journaling, and more—all of which are designed to help with mental health and wellbeing.

3.    TRIPP

TRIPP is an extremely unique meditation tool, as it is specifically designed for VR use. Even with more accessible gear (like a Meta Quest), you can experience virtual reality mindfulness and meditation. The guided meditation takes you on a quest that reminds you to breathe, while allowing you to focus on the present. There are also solo meditation options, where you can visit beautiful, scenic locations without leaving your home.

4.    Ten Percent Happier

Ten Percent Happier is a fantastic meditation and mindfulness app that provides lessons on meditation. The courses help you to become better at meditating and can be used by complete beginners. There are also guided meditations to help you along.
